J + K: A Polaroid Wedding

For those of you who haven’t met Liz yet, here she is (and here too). Liz was my official unofficial bridesmaid. And while we were honeymooning she took it upon herself to scan all the Polaroids taken at our wedding.

Here are some of my favorites:
This is my brother, Donny Vomit. He works as a sideshow performer at the Coney Island Sideshow by the Seashore and various gigs all over the world.

He officiated the ceremony.

My boss and his wife of 20 years – they still have a smokin’ hot relationship. What an inspiration.

This one is my absolute favorite.

  1. Your wedding pics look so awesome. Thanks for the inspiration- but now I’ve got to rework my wedding plans…Fortunately Ive got plenty of time since I’m without a groom 😛

  2. Stephanie – When the time comes I’m sure you will be well prepared!

  3. Aura – I love it, of course! I’m tearing down the mirror I just had installed above our mantle and covering it with polaroids instead. It has EVERYTHING to do with this post!

  4. donny vomit is your brother. my mind is blown.

  5. p.s. thanks for the nice words on my blog. i’m ecstatic over yours!

  6. [J]

    Aww, great polaroids!

    Hi Kathleen,

Your wedding is such an inspiration. I can totally see myself getting married at home. I was wondering if you could tell me how many guests you had?

Our place is too small to host a wedding in, but we’re thinking about renting out a house for a weekend. The living/dining room in that house is about 40 by 14 feet. (http://www.chalets-village.com/en/maisons/1806.html)

What do you think? Did your ceremony/party all take place in one room or were people strolling through the house?

Thank you so much for your help!

  8. Hi Kim! We had about 30 guests at the wedding ceremony and 55 total at the reception/ after party. Our guests were just hanging out and there was standing room only during the ceremony. It became a tight squeeze in our 1500 sq. foot home but it worked!
