Tea Time

I’ve been feeling a little under the weather this week.

I’m typically a coffee girl – but I enjoyed the comfort of a cup of tea or two this week.

What makes you feel better when you’re feeling a little laid up?

Definitely tea as well! My favorite is vanilla chamomile and honey or peppermint. A good book or movie in bed is always nice when I’m home.

I love me some tea when I’m sick, and when I’m not sick too! Decaf green tea was all I drank when I was pregnant. Oddly enough, I also love a big spoonful of peanut butter 🙂 yes…weird.

  3. Watching old movies on TCM (Turner Classic Movies) and buying things online 😉

  4. TCM! Good call! Nothing like a slow old movie to fall asleep to.

Is that Tazo Green Tea with Ginger? My fave!

  6. I love ginger ale. My grandma used to give me that when I sick. It reminds me of when I was a little girl.

  7. You know, I don’t really have one particular go-to thing when I’m sick… I guess I take it on a case-by-case basis. But I always insist that cookies will make me better, just because I want them.

  8. I love cutting up fresh ginger (I love ginger, so I use loads), squeezing plenty of fresh lemon juice (and rind if I want a stronger flavour) and as much honey as I feel like into boiling hot water and letting it steep until it’s cool enough to drink. It’s fantastic if you keep topping it up over the whole day as well – with a bit of extra lemon and honey as you go.

And if you have a funky little teapot to go with it, so much the better 🙂
