Bread: Baked

There you go. I baked my first loaf of bread using this recipe. I just enjoyed a slice with butter and honey.

It was a little time consuming and I have a burn on my wrist but it was completely worth it.

Note to self: Grab a cast iron pan at the farmer’s market.

  3. i super strongly suggest checking out target for the ‘lodge logic’ line of cast iron pans. the line is available elsewhere. target is definitely the cheapest. for example, a 12″ pan in my stupid country is $35. only $18.99 at target!! must…get…passport.

    i’ve got a cast iron melting pot, sandwich griddle, wok (yes, a huge cast iron wok!! ultra heavy), and regular 10″ pan. excellent stuff. cooking pancakes on cast iron gives them a flavour like no other.

  4. T and J – Oh thanks for the recommendation. My mom has a few old broken in cast-iron pans but refuses to give me one. She used to make the best (baked) German pancakes in them when I was a kid. I’ll make sure to cook one up and post the recipe when I get a proper pan.
