Goodbye, Oh-Nine

In 2009:
+ We got married in our home.

+ We went to Taos, NM for a honeymoon.

+ Jeremy had his appendix taken out. During our honeymoon. (I’ll stop talking about it in twenty-ten.

+ I went to the HOW design conference with Liz and came home with a large ampersand tattooed on my ribs.

+ We set up a slip ‘n’ slide in Edgemere park using an outdoor board vinyl.

+ We ran into freezing Lake Superior.

+ We went on a New England cruise.

+ We went fishing with my dad.

+ We learned (and love) how to climb rocks.

+ We took a mini-vacation to Robber’s Cave.

+ We got snowed in at my parent’s and celebrated the best Christmas ever.

Other notables:
+ I turned 27. Jeremy 31.
+ I went from black to blonde.
+ I baked some bread.
+ I designed some invitations.
+ I made lots of new blog friends.
+ I became obsessed with Everest.
+ I finally fell in love with my cats.

Goodbye, Oh-Nine. You were a good one.

Thank you to every single one of you that shared my year of oh-nine with me. In real life, and through this blog. xoxo!

  1. You’ve definitely had a big year 🙂

Im sure ive said this before but I am in love with the fascinator you wore on your wedding. Just gorgeous.

    Happy New Year!

  2. Ashley

I love this post. It makes me feel not so bad about my 2009, and I’m glad I could be at the good parts of yours!

  3. I am glad to have been following along for sure 🙂

  4. jasmine

i love your recap, and i wanna see that tattoo! happy new year, kathleen!

  5. Mrs. L – Purchasing the fascinator felt more like “the wedding dress” than my actual dress did! I love it too. Thank you.

Ashley – I’m so happy that you’ve gone from my Wednesday night pal to one of my nearest and dearest. We have good times together. See you tonight!

Ryan – Thank you! You’re maternity series blew everyone out of the water. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Jasmine – I’m so glad I met you in blog-land this year! If we’re ever in each other’s area we need to grab a cup of coffee. And it is a goal of mine to take a tasteful picture of the tattoo to show everyone.

  6. Happy New Year! I love your year end recap and goals! I always make new ones, but then they never usually end up occurring. This year I will make them happen!

Your wedding photos are so adorable… you two are seriously the cutest, hippest blogging couple alive!
