J & K: The chalkboard wall

When Jeremy and I were married, a little over a year ago, we used the chalkboard wall in the office as our guest book. I knew the time would come when we’d have to erase the evidence of our wedding guests in our home.

It wasn’t dramatic or particularly sentimental. It was a wet sponge and a little bit of elbow grease.

Goodbye guest wall, hello to-do lists.

Personally, I think the splash of color takes away from the original.

I’m loving this magazine (featuring my girl crush) that is making its round in the blog world this morning.

An Apple a Day

Is what I eat for breakfast every morning. Just enough to break the fast.

I know it’s not quite earth-shattering or news worthy but with my upcoming life changes I am a buzzing with anxiety and need to focus on the simpler things. Dive back into the details and save the big picture for later.

What do you guys do to bring yourself back down to earth (and chill out) when you’re mind is racing?

Last weekend a writer/editor and photographer for NewsOK came out to our home to interview us. Apparently our blog is news worthy and hey – we’ll take it!

We talked about our home, our style, going freelance, what we eat, what we wear and why we document all of it every single day.

Read the full article online here and if you are a local (I think) we’ll be in print next Thursday in the Oklahoman’s new Mood section. Many thanks to the team over there for thinking we’re cool enough to highlight.

P.S. Yes, I did have R. Kelly’s Trapped in the Closet running through my head during the shoot.
