This is Braid Creative

Day In The Life of Braid from Braid Creative on Vimeo.
(I can’t get the video to properly embed here so just click on the image or link above to watch the Braid video in Vimeo).

Today we’re (soft) launching our new Braid Creative site! After two years of refining our own dream customer, methods, and offerings we wanted to overhaul our site to really say what we mean (which is what we’re preaching to our own clients on the daily). We’ve been working with Emily Thompson over at Indie Shopography for the last few months to consolidate our main site with our ECourse site and I couldn’t be more thrilled about how everything has turned out. Feel free to hop over to Braid Creative and check it out (especially if you’re a creative who hasn’t subscribed to the blog over there yet.)

We’re still working through a few kinks (and maybe a couple typos) but everything should be in ship-shape condition by the end of the week. For now, I want to share this brand video Choate House filmed for us over the summer. It was so amazing working with Kara and Jeremy Choate to help us capture who we are and help us “show” our “tell” – both in video and the stills you see throughout our new site. They were also super kind to squeeze us in to their busy schedule when I was only 5 months pregnant and not totally showing yet.

Our Braid ECourse for Creative Entrepreneurs Dream Customer Catching: Embrace Your Expertise and Attract What You Track is now open for registration through this Thursday. This 4-part ECourse will be in-session this Friday Dec. 13-22 – it’s great for aspiring and established creative entrepreneurs who need a little guidance narrowing in on their niche and closing more deals with dream clients.  Learn more, see what past students have to say about the ECourse, and register here – use the discount code ANDKATHLEEN50 to take this ECourse for $50.

Oh my! That video! So beautiful and inspiring. Especially the parts with Tara and her kiddo. That really spoke to me and made me happy thinking about my future in regards to the intersection between my work and my kids. Awesome job, guys.

    • Right!? We really wanted to be sure to show that we’re a part of a new generation of creatives who care about both work and family. I think the work & family overlap for the creative entrepreneur is a topic we’ll continue to explore especially as I launch into the blended kid / career journey come this January.

  2. The video is great! Seriously, love you guys’ work and just try to soak up everything you put out there.

    • Thank you so much, Casey! We’re so happy with how the video turned out. It at least makes our parents proud. :)

  3. Nicole

I LOVE IT!!!!!! And I’m so proud + pleased to be showcased/testimonial-ed. :) You ladies continue to inspire me in so many ways and the branding + materials you developed for me are getting rave reviews…in the form of knocks on my coaching door! All it took was a few of those great words to a handful of people. I wanted to have all my ducks in a very straight-and-tidy row before taking on clients, but as you wrote on the Braid blog today, just publish and launch!

Also, I just hired Kate Baird of Katelyn Brooke Designs (found her through a post on the Braid FB page, interestingly enough) to overhaul my website. We expect to launch the new site + blog in March – I’ll keep you posted and will DEFINITELY be writing a blog post singing the Braid praises. Meanwhile, I’ll keep flexing my affiliate muscles and sending people your way via word of mouth + social media for ECourses and Braid method awesomeness.

Keep rocking it, warrior creatives! xoxo

    • Nicole,
Thank YOU for hiring us! It was such a treat to get to work with you and I hope our new site can attract more badasses like you to work with! I’m so thrilled to hear that you’re getting paying clients knocking at your door. And let me know how it goes with Kate!

      • Nicole

Will do for sure – Kate is a rock star so far!!! Beautiful work that feeds the right brain, and so thorough and responsive (which the left brain loves). I will NOT be losing touch with you ladies in any way, so looking forward to watching you continue to grow – and keeping you posted on the solopreneurial revolution!

  4. You guys, the site and the video are absolutely AMAZING! All of you, Emily included, did a beautiful job. Congratulations–hope you’re pausing in all the hustle to have a (virgin) drink or two in celebration.

    • Thank you so much Erika! I’m hustling, hustling. I figure I’ll get a moment to pause (and FINALLY have a drink) in January when this bebe gets here. ;)

  5. Laura

Holy gorgeousness! The new site (and the video) capture you two and your work so fabulously. Congrats on this new step– it’s been to fun to watch Braid grow!

    • Thanks, Laura! And especially thanks to you and Ben for supporting us along the way. XO

  6. Sian

Love it! The video is sweet. I’ve been thinking about doing some Creative Coaching with you, were you going to be getting back into that next year after the bebe arrives?

    • Hey Sian! That’s a huge compliment coming from you. I love the work you’re putting out there.

I’ll be taking on very limited 1:1 creative coaching clients after my maternity leave in Spring 2014 – I’ll be sure to let my readers know once I have a solid plan there. But! I’m launching a self-guided DIY email subscription that will be available to purchase later this week (first email goes out Jan. 1). It’s only $40 and covers a lot of the stuff I focus on in my one-on-one sessions. Stay tuned!

  7. Becky

Love the vid and the new site. You go girls.

  8. Maj

This is amazing(!!). Congrats ladies. High vibes and much love to both of you.

  9. You guys have continually inspired me throughout the years, but that video put me over the top! I wrote to you a couple of years ago, Kathleen, about working with you, and I still hope to do so in the future!

  10. Steph

I’m very impressed and the video has such a warm feeling. Great work!

  11. SO GOOD!! You ladies are just so. good.
